On April 13, NSK held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new “M1” factory at the headquarters site. We are currently promoting the achievement of the targets set in the Mid-term Management Plan “NV2025+” and the development of a management base aimed at further sustainable growth. By building “M1,” We aim to increase production and improve efficiency in addition to shortening lead times together with striving to introduce energy-saving equipment and improve the working environment. NSK aims to make M1 a state-of-art factory that will increase production, reduce costs, and achieve a high level of sustainability. In addition, an after-sales services location that has been significantly renewed is planned to be established at “M1,” aimed at expanding repair capabilities and further improving service levels.
The “M1” factory is expected to be four floors above ground with a total floor space of 20,000 square meters with total capital investment of approximately 8.5 billion JPY, the largest investment project in the history of NSK.

On April 3, a welcoming ceremony for new graduate employees for FY2023 was held at the headquarters “RD1” Center Court. Forty-five new colleagues who graduated from graduate schools, universities, technical schools, and high schools joined NSK. President & Group CEO, Eiichi Nakanishi, encouraged them with the words, “Although there may be times when you hit a wall, if you have passion, you can certainly overcome it. I wish for you to work with enthusiasm.”

The “International Dental Show 2023” was held in Cologne, Germany from March 14 through 18, with 120,000 people from 162 countries around the world in attendance. Although NSK has further expanded its global market share by taking advantage of COVID-19, it exhibited at “IDS2023” to seize opportunities for further growth after COVID-19, setting up a booth of 550 square meters, the largest area in our history, manned by a system of 100 staff gathered from headquarters and subsidiaries overseas.
A new product, the “Ti-Max Z990L” dental handpiece, was announced during the exhibition. The air turbine with the highest cutting power in the history of the industry was highly acclaimed by many attending dental care professionals and distributors.

We express our deepest sympathies to all those who are suffering from a disaster of the Turkey-Syria earthquake. We have decided to donate the equivalent of US$100,000 through the Japanese Red Cross Society hoping that it would be used to aid relief effort and reconstruction support of the disaster area. We, all NSK group sincerely wish for the earliest possible recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas.

In recognition of our efforts to employ and establish a workplace for persons with disabilities, NSK received the 2022 Effort Award for Excellence in Employing Persons with Disabilities from the President of Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers (JEED).
We have more than 1,500 employees in Japan and overseas. We aim to create a work environment in which each and every employee can work happily and actively regardless of nationality, gender, or disability. In our efforts to employ persons with disabilities, we will continue to enhance various support programs to improve and establish a workplace environment.

NSK completed construction of new factory A1+ on September 5th, whose construction started in November 2021.
The total floor area is approx. 5,500㎡. Not only aiming to increase parts processing capacity that was previously a bottleneck in production activities, but also training program for manufacturing human resources called ASK (*) will be implemented in order to enhance production capacity from both hard and soft aspects. We are also aiming for an early start as a core production base to realize our medium to long-term growth.
